GLASS SCIENCE CLEAN-X ELIMINATE
SANI-SHIELD & SANI-SCRUB GREEN FACTS

Q: What is Green Cleaning?
A: Green Cleaning simply means cleaning to protect health without harming the environment. A Green Cleaning program goes beyond chemical and equipment choices. It includes policies, procedures, training and shared responsibility. Green Cleaning is, any effort that minimizes the impact of cleaning materials, focusing on the health of building occupants and protection of the environment as a whole.

Q: Does Green Cleaning really make a difference?
A: How buildings are cleaned and the products that are used can significantly impact the health and performance of building occupants and cleaning staff. Choices in cleaning products, equipment and procedures dramatically impact the lifespan of building materials and furnishings while preserving the environment.

Q: Does Green Cleaning cost more?
A: Developing and implementing a Green Cleaning Program does not have to be expensive or overwhelming. Products are cost-competitive compared to traditional products. Any additional cost is offset by other factors, such as increased worker safety, superior performance, higher worker morale and productivity, reduced absenteeism and improved air quality.

School Cleaning
Effective surface hygiene can be achieved - first and foremost - by cleaning. The Sani-Shield and Sani-Scrub products keep surfaces sanitary. They provide the pre-scribed "pre-cleaning" required by all EPA-registered disinfectants. In fact, they are compatible with and enhance the performance of disinfectants.

Whether cleaning classrooms, libraries, cafeterias & lunchrooms, offices, washrooms, lockers & locker rooms, stairwells and gymnasiums the process is the same: It is the surfaces that must be cleaned; whatever their configuration or location! For example, the top of a table (like a desk) should be cleaned daily; its sides (edges) and legs should be cleaned weekly. Sinks, faucets, door knobs and drinking fountains should be cleaned daily; their bases and back splashes should be cleaned at least weekly.

Thus, the frequency of cleaning - from daily to weekly - depends entirely on the level of use and the degree of soiling! The Easy-Clean System takes the guesswork out of surface care. Surfaces that look clean, are clean; and are generally devoid of the nutrients and moisture required by organisms to multiply and contaminate.

Atomic Force Microscopic Image of SANI-SHIELD Protected Surface at the Nano Level
Unelko's new SANI-SHIELD barrier coating technology is truly remarkable.

The barrier coating is a nano-scale (molecular) shield that is polymerized on the surface and is not merely a topical finish or polish. The organosilane molecule that bonds to the surface is much smaller than .5 nanometers. To put this in perspective, a nano meter is a billionth of a meter, or a fraction of a human hair.

The barrier coating that is formed while cleaning is non-fuming, non-migrating and non-leaching and is replenished with each use. Once SANI-SHIELD has been wiped dry or allowed to air dry, there are no residual surfactants or chemicals left on the surface.
